Malaysia Airlines Flight 17, a Boeing 777 flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, cruises at 33,000 feet over Eastern Ukraine. It’s a clear summer day, and the 298 passengers and crew onboard have no idea that they are about to become part of one of aviation’s darkest tragedies.
In a flash, the aircraft disappears from radar , struck by a surface-to-air missile in a conflict zone, shattering into pieces across the fields of Donetsk. No one survives.
